This afternoon, Manchester Fire-Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle fire on Woodland Court. Fire crews responded.
Upon arrival, crews found a Dodge Ram pickup that had the front end of the truck fully involved in fire. Crews deployed an attack line off of Engine 1 and began firefighting operations.
Crews were able to quickly knock down the fire and gain entry to the engine compartment for final extinguishment. Once the fire was extinguished, crews investigated the incident. Crews rolled up their hose, put the vehicle back in service and returned to quarters.
“There were no injuries during this incident. Excellent assistance was provided by Coffee County Communications Center and Manchester PD,” per fire Chief George Chambers.
