Manchester Fire Department along with local volunteer fire departments and the Manchester Police will be collecting items needed for Putnam County storm victims.
According to Chief George Chambers, Putnam County has been placed on a “boiled water notice”, meaning that they will need clean water as well. Cases of water along with gift cards, batteries, flashlights, and more can be dropped off at Manchester Fire and Rescue, Fire Station 1 at 1509 Hillsboro Blvd until March 11th.
Chambers stated they will be collecting until next Wednesday, or until the trailer, provided by David West, is full. They will then take the collected donations to Putnam County.
