As essentials like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and food fly off the shelves at a rapid rate, some stores have opted to operate under new hours amid the coronavirus pandemic. Some stores have even begun to limit the amount of items per customer.

Over the weekend several big box stores like Walmart, Publix, Kroger, and others have implemented changes to better serve the public and reduce the spread of germs.

Walmart has released a statement and announced via Facebook that their hours would change beginning March 15th. Until further notice they will be open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. By doing so they state this will ensure that the associates can stock shelves, and have sufficient time to clean and sanitize the building. This announcement is for Walmart locations nationwide, including Tullahoma and Manchester Walmart.

Publix also announced they would be changing their ours starting March 14th for the same reasons. Publix will close nightly at 8:00 p.m.
