Middle TN Locally Grown Farmer’s Market Offers Online Ordering, Pickup, and Delivery of Locally Sourced Goods.
Local April 6, 2020 Daniel Prince
Want to get nutritious food while practicing social distancing, and still support local farmers? Middle Tennessee Locally Grown is a project of local farmers and artisans who offer an online farmer’s market, something that is proving to be crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic, when social distancing is of the utmost importance and supplies in grocery stores are seemingly low.
Middle Tennessee Locally Grown Farmer’s Market is offering online ordering, pickup, and delivery of locally grown vegetables, plants, meats (beef, pork, lamb, and chicken), eggs, dairy products, soaps, and handmade products.
The farmer’s market takes orders on their website from Sunday through Tuesday and pickup takes place on Thursday or Friday. During the COVID-19 pickup locations are subject to change, so it is best to check the website for information prior to ordering.
Information about ordering
- Order conveniently from the comfort of your home computer, beginning Sunday at 8:00 a.m. through Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. each week, by visiting the “Market” page
- Search for products by category, by best sellers, or by farm
- Know what you’re purchasing by reading more information about the farmers, their farming practices, and their products on the “Growers” page.
- Pick up your order at one of two times and locations:
- on Thursdays in Manchester between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. under the big pavilion with signs that say “Coffee County Farmers Market.” It’s behind the Farm Bureau building on Main Street, and across the street from the Manchester City Schools administration building, at 216 East Fort St, Manchester.
- Or on Thursdays in Tullahoma between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. inside “Nature’s Elite”, next to Dunham’s Sporting Goods, in the Cherokee Square Shopping Center on North Jackson Street in Tullahoma.
Please note: Select your pickup location on the drop-down menu so your order will be at the right location for you. If these pickup times are inconvenient for you, we will be glad to deliver to your home (or other location) on Friday. Please place an order for “Delivery” on the market, if you would like this service, for which there will be a fee varying by location.
