Gov. Lee Requests Tennessee Schools Remain Closed for the Remainder of the School Year.

In a press briefing today at 3 p.m., Gov. Bill Lee requested that schools across the state of Tennessee remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This is not a mandate as of yet, as Gov. Lee states he expects schools will follow the guidelines in closing.
The Governor originally closed schools until April 14th, but due the the daily growing cases of COVID-19, he has requested these schools remain closed, and states that he will be working with the Tennessee Department of Education to ensure flexibility for districts to complete year-end activities.
