Publix announced in a press release on Thursday, that the grocery chain will be extending their hours and suspending reserved shopping times. Publix had previously offered reserved times for the at-risk population to shop safely, and shortened its hours to allow employees time to properly clean each day.
Publix hours going forward will be from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and pharmacies will return to regular shopping hours.
“With our newly expanded hours, we have suspended reserved shopping hours. We do understand some customers prefer to shop when the stores are less crowded. We encourage you to shop during the first hour of the day, when we can better accommodate that need,” Publix stated in the press release. “Thank you for your patience over the past several weeks while we’ve operated under reduced hours.”
