Seniors have been told that they and their second car must enter T.H.S. from the North Jackson Street entrance at the THS Cafeteria corner. The graduation at Wilkins Stadium will be live streamed by Lighttube on Facebook, Youtube, and Channel 6. The ceremony will also be live on the Jumbotron and heard through the sound system at Wilkins Stadium.
Each graduate is asked to ride in the passenger seat with a 21+ year old driver for safety and for efficiency at the stage. On a piece of paper graduates should put their name, time of arrival, and parking space number in large print in the front windshield of their car(s). An example is pictured below.
The only vehicles allowed are those that fit into a standard size parking space. No trailers. School officials state entering and exiting Wilkins Stadium will be tight, and large vehicles will impede the flow of graduates.
School officials also state, “Once cars are lined up on the track please do not turn the wheels while the vehicle is stationary or drive fast. We want to prevent any irreparable damage to the track. Please spread the word to the second vehicle drivers.”
At the center of the home stadium side will be a staged area like previous graduations where the graduate will exit the passenger side upon direction and receive their diploma laid on a table by THS Guidance Counselors. Once each senior has graduated, please exit the THS lot without idling in the turn sections of the track. There will be a photographer stationed at the staged area for diploma disbursement, and a video will be available. Gloves and masks are optional, and at all participant’s discretion.
If any senior has an issue obtaining a vehicle please contact Dr. English, Dr. Zimmerman, or Mrs. Sisk, and any senior not planning on participating is asked to please email Mrs. Amy Sisk. “We want to plan appropriately for
time management purposes.”
“We cannot wait to see seniors decked out in their caps, gowns, and regalia! Seniors should arrive ready to walk across the stage. Seniors may decorate their caps this year! Decorate those cars too!”
