Volunteers Needed for “Teletutoring” Program for TCS Should Schools go Hybrid.
News August 6, 2020 Daniel Prince
Due to the rising case count of COVID-19, Tullahoma City Schools are trying to prepare should the need to switch to a hybrid schedule arise. If TCS should be forced to go to the hybrid schedule due to COVID-19, United Way of Highway 55 would like to set up two programs to help the students.
These two programs, “Teletutoring” and “Telementoring” would need volunteers to help students virtually with school work. In addition to needing volunteers to assist students, United Way is also seeking donors to provide the funds to pay for the background checks required to volunteer, which cost $35.
If you or know someone you know, perhaps within your church or organization, would be interested in getting involved, you can donate through the United Way of Highway 55 website at www.highway55unitedway.org and all donations will go towards those programs.
If interested in volunteering contact Ashley Abraham or Pam Bussell at pam@firstchristiantullahoma.org or director@highway55unitedway.org.
