In a joint statement from Mayor Lonnie Norman and Executive Director Joyce Prusak of the Coffee County Children’s Advocacy Center, officials have announced that the yearly Halloween event “Safe on the Square” will not happen this year “in the interest of everyone’s health and well-being.”
Officials stated in the joint announcement, “This was a difficult decision as this event has become a community tradition and something so many children look forward to annually. However, we both agreed that it was the appropriate decision at this time. The Children’s Advocacy Center will work hard to bring Safe on the Square in 2021 bigger and better than ever.”
