Arnold Engineering Development Complex announced they will begin a phased approach in returning to full capacity beginning June 1st.

AECD officials state that leadership has “developed a plan to return to full capacity based on a 4-phased approach that is based on up-to-date data and readiness, mitigates risk of resurgence, protects the most vulnerable, and is implementable installation-wide or GSU basis at the AEDC Commander’s discretion.”

AEDC officials also state that if data in Coffee, Grundy, Bedford, and Franklin counties continue to decline or remain flat, Arnold Air Force Base will begin Phase 1A of their phased reopening on June 1st, with a preparatory phase from May 25th-May 29th.

“Regression can occur in any phase. Returning to a previous phase depends on the regression severity. Flexibility is critical in moving back and forth with the prevalence trajectory every two weeks.
