Officials have confirmed one death and two injuries due to a shooting that occurred after an argument inside a vehicle travelling on I-24 in Manchester.
After an apparent argument from yesterday, four Black males travelling in a black Dodge Charger swiped another vehicle on the interstate after shots were fired inside the Charger. According to officials, it is possible that two people were shooting inside the Charger.
After the Charger swiped another vehicle travelling on I-24, it is reported that the driver then exited the vehicle, and car-jacked the crashed vehicle. After travelling down the road a bit, the driver then crossed the interstate and car-jacked a black Toyota Camry. One person is confirmed dead, and two others inside the vehicle were shot, and are being treated in hospitals. One individual from the car remains unharmed. Authorities also report that during the duration of this event, a woman was shot in her hand, as well as a male truck driver who had stopped to help. The truck driver has been reported to be shot in the neck.
It is believed the shooter exited the interstate at exit 97, but authorities remain unsure of which direction the driver went from there. Authorities are currently on the search for a Black male in and black Toyota Camry. As of 11:00 a.m., interstate-24 is closed to traffic travelling both directions.
