The Tennessee Department of Health reports a total of 522 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Coffee County as of August 8th, 2020. 299 cases are known to be currently active. There are a reported 220 recoveries, and 3 COVID-19 related deaths, as reported by the state. 9,300 tests administered in the county are reported as having negative results.
Coffee County, Manchester City and Tullahoma Schools announced yesterday that they will be moving to a hybrid schedule, due to the increasing nature of active cases in the county. Several schools have reported confirmed cases within the school systems, and are working with the health liaison to contact trace and quarantine necessary individuals. Coffee County has free COVID-19 testing Monday-Friday at 2050 Hillsboro Blvd, in Manchester at the old Southern Family Market. They will be testing from 9:00 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
