The Tennessee Department of Health has reported a total of 19,789 confirmed positive cases for the state of Tennessee as of May 23rd, 2020. Thus far, the state has reported 329 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,573 hospitalizations. 12,745 individuals have been reported as recovered, and 373,758 Tennesseans have been tested.

Laboratory reports of positive cases are reported to metro and local health departments as soon as results are available. State numbers are updated at 2 p.m. CDT daily. There may be a lag in the reporting of cumulative numbers at the state level.
