According to Chief George Chambers of the Manchester Fire and Rescue Department, a fire at the Tennessee Hills Campground in Coffee County has resulted in the death of one man.
Tuesday evening, North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department responded to call regarding a fire in a travel trailer at the campground. One man living in the travel trailer, whose identity has not been released, was still inside. The man sustained injuries, which later resulted in his death.
According to Chambers, North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department, Coffee County Emergency Medical Services, Coffee County Sheriff’s department, Coffee County death investigators, and the TBI were on the scene. North Coffee Volunteer Fire Department worked the fire for an estimated two hours. The case is still under investigation.
