Local August 25, 2020 Daniel Prince
The Hands on Science Center, located in Tullahoma, is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. Although there will be no visitors to the center, the Hands on Science Center is “still anticipating an exciting year by reinventing HOSC and going virtual this year,” by bringing the educational fun to the comfort of home.
This Thursday, Aug 27th HOSC will be releasing the first Take Home Science Kits- Crafty Constellations! The kits are free of charge and first come first serve. The kits will include a lesson/instruction booklet as well as a YouTube link so your child can watch along with step-by-step instructions and a lesson while making their own mini planetarium.
Kits will be available for pick this Thursday, Aug 27th 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Aug 29th 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Hands-On Science Center at 101 Mitchell Blvd, Tullahoma, TN 37388. The Hands on Science Center will announce additional times if they are still available after those dates.
”We are asking parents/guardians which are confident they will be picking kits up to let us know how many children they have so we can get an idea of the number of kits needed since this is the first time we are giving out kits.”
