The Manchester Fire and Rescue team responded to a fire last night around 8pm at a residence in Manchester.
According to Chief George Chambers, “Apparatus arrived on scene a short time later and found a cooking fire in the kitchen. The occupant removed the burning pan to the outside of the home prior to our arrival. The occupant suffered from smoke inhalation and some possible burns and was transported to Unity Medical Center by Coffee County EMS. Crews secured all appliances, turned off breakers to the affected area and ventilated the home. The area was fire safe with damage limited to the kitchen area and some minor smoke in the home. As always great assistance was provided by CC EMS, Comm Center and Manchester PD.”
Thank you to the Manchester Fire-Rescue team and the Manchester Police Department for working hard to keep Coffee County safe!
