The Manchester Parks and Recreation Department opened an new Fitcore Extreme Obstacle Course at the new Riverview Park at 837 Emerson Street, Mancheter Tennessee 37355.  This is the first step in development of the grounds of the old Riverview Alternative School along the Little Duck River Greenway.  The obstacle course is modeled on an “American Ninja” type course and is open dawn to dusk.  This $200,000 obstacle course was funded fully by a Diabetes Initiative Grant from the Tennessee Department of Health.  It is designed for youth and adults 13 and older, however younger ages can try obstacles that are lower to the ground.  “We are very proud of this new addition to the parks department and ask visitors to please pick up and dispose of any trash to keep the area clean.”
