Sierra Winton had a heart/double lung transplant in November of 2005. She went into rejection May, 2019. Attempts to stop the rejection have failed. She is now in heart and lung failure and needs a second heart/double lung transplant. They have been told Vanderbilt will be unavailable to perform the second transplant, and they are awaiting a call from UAB at any time.
The event will be hosted by the Coffee County Rescue Squad at Coffee County Central High School on January 25th at 4pm. There will be a BBQ plate dinner ($10 a plate) and auction to help raise money toward Sierra’s surgeries and expenses incurred throughout her experience.
