Strong storms blew through the county this afternoon, leaving damage in its wake. There have been reports of trees down and power outages as well.

Tullahoma Police Department and the Tullahoma Fire Department has posted an advisory for residents to stay home this evening, as Public Works is working diligently to clean up the storm damage.

If you have power lines or trees down on your house, TFD and TPD advise cutting the main power immediately, calling 911 to report the damage, and seeking shelter.

Duck River Electric reports that over 12,000 members across the DREMC service area have been left without power. To report an outage, please use DREMC’s mobile app, go to www.dremc.com or call your local DREMC office.
