News April 5, 2020 Daniel Prince
Unity Medical Center and other agencies are putting together a list of any nurses, techs, or other healthcare providers that may be able to help in the “unlikely” event that our hospitals become overwhelmed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unity is asking that if you have patient care experience an would like to volunteer to be placed on a roster for Coffee County, to email your name, background, and contact information to ashley.melton@unitymedctr.com.
Unity Medical Center has been steadily preparing for the possible surge in patients to come in the future. As of April 3rd, 2020, Unity announced that they have prepared an off-site facility to care for more individuals if there is a surge in COVID-19 cases in the county, which will be located across from the hospital campus. You can read the full story about the off-site facility here.
