ARNOLD AIR FORCE BASE, Tenn. – Arnold Engineering Development Complex leaders met in October to discuss and plan to become the “AEDC We Need.”

During that meeting, the mission and vision of the Complex were rewritten with a focus on the role AEDC plays in national defense and military superiority. The AEDC mission – “To prove the superiority of systems required to meet the demands of the National Defense Strategy.” The AEDC vision – Second to none!

The branches and squadrons of AEDC develop, maintain and operate a large suite of test capabilities to enable AEDC to accomplish that mission. In an effort to convey the important contributions of these organizations, a series of videos is being produced showcasing the capabilities of each. These videos connect directly to the AEDC 2020 Strategic Priorities to 1) Pursue Mission Excellence, 2) Invest in our People, and 3) Sustain and Improve the Complex.

“Part of our strategy is to invest in our people, and one of the most important investments we can make is to bring each other closer to the mission,” Col. Jeffrey Geraghty, AEDC commander, noted. “We accomplish so many amazing things for national defense, I want everybody across the complex to see and feel what they are a part of. I’m confident that a series of short, powerful videos will tie us all closer to this ultra-important AEDC mission. We should be proud of what we do and happy to show it!”
