You may have wondered at some point where that beverage came from, or how it was made, and Coffee county and its surrounding areas are home to some of the most world-renowned, excellent tasting, and locally distilled or brewed spirits. Checkout this list of the top four local spirit distillers.

Old Shed Brewing Company. Founded in 2011, Old Shed is home to the best tasting, locally brewed craft beer. Beans Creek Winery. Located in Manchester, just off the interstate at exit 111, Beans Creek Winery has so much to offer. They even offer custom gift baskets, and an exclusive wine club membership. Beans Creek  Winery is a small, local, family run operation with so much to offer.

George Dickel. The Whisky without an “e”. Created by a Nashville merchant, George Dickel, preferred whisky to be made in the winter months, as it made the whiskey taste smoother, and grew a reputation as the “smoothest, most mellow spirits in the region”. That’s why, in the present day, this whisky is chilled before going through what they call “The Lincoln County Process”, a charcoal-mellow filtration to smooth out the flavor, and George Dickel is the only Tennessee distillery that still does it. With a whisky as unique as its traditional Scottish spelling, it has become a household name in our county for over 130 years. Tucked in a quaint pocket of Coffee County, the distillery is located in Cascade hollow, a beautiful spot of land with fresh water that runs from Cascade Springs. The distillery offers tours through the week, as well as a unique gift shop, and holds events and live music often. Book a tour and you’re sure to find out how truly special Cascade Hollow is.

Last but certainly not least, Jack Daniels. While its not in Coffee County, we just can’t go without mentioning this world-famous distillery in Lynchburg, just about a ten minute drive from Tullahoma.Officially established in 1866, Jack Daniels Distillery is home to the oldest registered whiskey in the United States. Charcoal mellowed, and barrel aged, this whiskey can be found across the country, in popular films, and even across the world. The distillery is host to a plethora of events througout the year, including the annual Jack Daniels BBQ, where pit masters from all over the world come to compete, and family and friends of all ages gather to watch and enjoy delicious treats and local culture. Book a tour of this beautiful distillery and learn about its abundance of rich history, the Old No. 7 whiskey, and the man himself; Jasper Newton Daniel, also known as Jack.
