Manchester Parks and Recreation is encouraging families to get moving this winter with a ‘Story Walk on the Square during national “Read Across America” week.

The goal of this event is to encourage families to get moving by visiting storefronts to read a page from the Dr. Seuss book ‘The Foot Book.” Downtown stores will display a laminated book page from the children’s book in their window. A ”reader card” can be obtained at the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department.

Families are encouraged to read the entire book, as once the reader has completed the reader card, it can be turned into the Rec Center for a free one day pass to the Rec Center. Below is a list of business participating in the event.
